Guest guest
Hi All, With just over 80 days until the 7th International Conference on Bisexuality commences in Sydney on October 25th, you have until August 31st to submit your registration form with payment to receive the fee discount. You can pay by cash, cheque or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Bankcard accepted). After August 31st we will not be able to guarantee interstate and overseas participants community housing, as host places are limited. Accommodation is not included in registration however various backpackers, hotels and motels close to the University of Technology Sydney, are listed on our website. We are also offering a corporate/organisation registration that allows three people from the same business, service or organisation to attend the conference at different times (not at same time) and allows one person to attend the Welcome Reception and the Biversity Party. If you were thinking of presenting a paper, discussion forum or running a workshop, the deadline here is also August 31st to submit your proposal. Don't delay, submit your proposal on the Call for Papers form. For those not wishing to attend the conference but would like to attend the Welcome Reception (25th Oct) or the Biversity Party (26th Oct) featuring a performance by 23 year old USA Bi activist and singer/songwriter, Skott Freedman, you can also use the registration form to order your tickets. A discount deadline of August 31st also applies. After the conference finishes on October 28th, we will be organising excursions in and around Sydney on 29th and 30th. Remember there are also other conferences and events on and the Gay Games commence on November 1st. If you can't make it to the 7ICB, then please consider making a donation to our Travel Assistance Fund and support the attendance of a Bi person from a developing country, a young person or a person with disabilities. You can make a donation direct by credit card (in Australian dollars), by cheque or cash posted to us in Australia or to the Bisexual Resource Center in Boston, USA (in US dollars) for the 7ICB Travel Assistance Fund. We are still seeking sponsorships. Perhaps your business will sponsor a conference presenter, participant from your state/country or an event at the conference. Please contact us if you can assist. If you are joining us from overseas, make the most of your visit. Why not check out some of our great wine growing areas such as the Hunter Valley just a couple of hours from Sydney, or our famous beaches and seaside resort towns like Byron Bay, Surfers Paradise, Noosa or Broome or the Great Barrier Reef and towns like Bundaberg, Yeppoon, Cairns or one of our Tropical Islands or how about our Red Centre with Alice Springs, Uluru (Ayres Rock) or Gorge or the night life and attractions of our federal and state capitals, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart, Perth and Darwin or our World Heritage Areas like Kakadu, Daintree or the lin. And when you leave, why not pay our neighbours in Aotearoa/New Zealand, Bali, Fiji or Singapore a visit. To download the Call for Papers and/or the Registration Form (in doc or pdf formats) go to our 7ICB web page at: http://bi.org.au/7ICB which should be updated now, if not go to the 7ICB page on the Australian Bisexual Network web page at: http://www.optusnet.com.au/~ausbinet/7ICB - 7th International Conference on Bisexuality.htm Make sure you copy the full url above into your web browser.
