Guest guest
Dear Friends, this is in response to the message " Kerala PSH a fact sheet " The Partnership in Sexual Health (PSH)programme is supported by Department for International Development (DFID), Governed by Health Department, Govt. of Kerala, managed by Kerala State AIDS Control Society (KSACS), facilitated by State Management Agency (SMA) and implemented by NGOs " . I am sad to read such a letter from a responsible person. It is far from truth. Of course, there are NGOs and NGOs. So I can understand the spirit, so forgivable. But why this letter is written is a mystery. There is no occasion, except a feeling that somebody asked somebody to write such a letter. It looks like a Government report, sad to see from an NGO partner. But when sexworkers both male and female and MSMs are arrested and tortured by police on a daily basis and the Government has no real interest in the running of the project, somebody writing such a glossy report makes an ugly feeling deep in my soul. I have written continuously in these forums about the failure of these projects in all its fronts many times before. So I don t want to repeat them again here. After five years we are now accountable to the public. As there was no data before one can always say that they have done everything as there is no reference point. So they can show that whatever the situation now would have been worse if not for their work. So there is always this way out. The 'Truth' is that we failed miserably in addressing the issue of the HRB group and I am ready to answer anybody who is ready for a serious inquiry. One should not sell their soul but of course one can altogether miss it.
