I think we have an interesting vantage point here because my son can type and tell me what these rounds feel like to him.

We are just using the DMSA and so far have not seen any mercury in his baseline test. We will be running a toxic metals next round so we'll see what comes up. (Hopefully something!)

Our son is 20 and has mild CP along with his autism (or maybe just mercury poisoning!) After the first round, his major comment was he felt less tightness in his body. After the second round he continued that thought. He wrote that he was still more relaxed and mellow, and not as bothered by life. " I noticed that I felt more aware of things around me this time, almost as if I were coming out of a tunnel. " He also mentioned how relieved he was to not have muscles that were aching all the time. He says that he was tight that morning but not " spasmy-tight " . Noises and touch didn't seem to bother him as much.

I noticed a LOT more speech during this round--repeating things we'd read to him, or parroting things back to us. Also quirky, unusual comments here and there.

One day I walked into a room and saw him standing by the window looking out at the lawnmower. I suddenly realized that I never remembered him doing that before. In other words, looking out a window without having something pointed out to him. The next day we were walking around outside the house and he was looking in a window and smiling at his sister.

Do any of these response make sense to you scientists? We aren't doing the ALA yet, and I would expect most of his mercury to be in the brain. Interesting!
