Yes. Visual examination before you flush the toilet. More bile = darker and

looser. If you aren't quick about the whole process you will probably also

get to do an olfactory exam wherein more bile = smellier.

Also timing is a test - bile lubricates the stool and irrirates the colon so

as bile content goes down the freuency of bowel movements decreases and the

stool becomes harder, and as it goes up the stool becomes softer/looser and

bowel movement frequency increases.
