Constitution of the CCM and its members

Dear Geoffrey,and other forum members,

I have this latest information from Mr. Ashok Rau Executive Trustee of the

Freedom Foundation -India about the constitution of the present CCM and its

members. Government- 8 (from the three National Programmes (Ministry) AIDS, TB,

and Malaria.

ICMR-1

Private Sector- 3 (CII, ASSOCHAM, and FICCI)

UN and Bilateral agencies- 5

NGOs- 4 (VHAI, YRG Care, Sewadham Trust Pune, and Vivekanand Educational Society

Kolkatta)Representative of INP+ - 1

I must also mention that many of the so called members (on being contacted on

phone)feel that all this is on paper and that they have not been involved or

consulted on issues pertaining to the Global Fund. I am grateful to Mr. Rau for

all the information on the CCM that I have been posting. I also feel we should

try and get Mr. Rau into this very important discussion , his knowledge and

insight (not to mention the respect he has at Delhi) about this issue will be

very meaningful
