Program Coordinator – HIV /AIDS and Mental Health

Reporting to: Department Director - CRS Mumbai.

Catholic Relief Services, an Overseas Relief and Development Agency

working in more than 80 countries and territories around the world to

alleviate poverty and suffering, is seeking qualified professionals

to work for its Mumbai Office. The positions are contractual and

carry attractive salary packages, commensurate with experience.

Specific Responsibilities

1. To coordinate all activities of the HIV/AIDS program sector

for ensuring effective implementation of the program.

2. To introduce appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems

and ensure its implementation.

3. To provide technical and managerial inputs for effective

program management.

4. To lead a team of professional and semi professional persons

and to supervise their functioning.

5. To design strategies / projects, generate reports, capacity

building exercises, case studies and other documentation as required

for the sector.

6. To participate in and contribute to deliberations in

meetings, workshops, etc. as required by the sector and as directed

by management.

7. To generate, monitor and utilize MIS for effective

programming.

8. To evaluate performance of team members and provide support

and counseling.

9. To allocate and delegate work to Program Executives to ensure

program impact as per specified indicators.

10. To ensure full utilization of resources

11. To undertake surveys, studies, pilots/operations research to

enhance quality of the program

12. To work towards building partnerships with GOs and NGOs in

related areas

13. To identify and explore potential funding sources

14. To review and revise new project proposals

15. To provide CRS staff and partner organizations with relevant

training

16. To provide technical assistance to the CRS Bhuj with the

Mental Health portion of the Rehabilitation program

17. Any other responsibility as directed by Management in the

interest of the Agency.

Qualifications and Experience

· MSW/M.P.H/Infections diseases with at least 7-10 years

experience in HIV/AIDS sector and project management including field

implementation.

· At least 5 -10 years experience in a senior management

position in a development organization.

· Excellent computer skills, including word processing,

spreadsheets and databases.

· Excellent communication skills particularly in spoken and

written English and Hindi.

· Experience in working with local development organizations to

strengthen their capacity

· Willingness to learn and adapt to changing situations

multidisciplinary teams. You will be required to travel extensively

in India.

Salary: Commensurate to qualification and experience.
