Guest guest
I've read mixed reviews about using melatonin. We do use it - less than 1 mg on occasional evenings to help our child sleep, but I worry about using it, since it is a hormone, and I don't know the long-term effects of messing around with my child's seratonin levels. Also, I've heard from autistic adults that melatonin gives them nightmares. Sometimes when my daughter goes to sleep with melaton, she wakes up in the middle of the night. Anyone read any studies about giving hormones to young children??
Guest guest
anyone have any headaches with the use of melatonin? I decided to try it on myself before giving it to my son and the 3 times I did (different times over 1 week) It gave me excruciating headaches. I'm wondering if I'm an exception, I know people react differently to supps. Thanks, Elaine
Guest guest
We have not had that problem and we have used it since April. Guest guest
<< <anyone have any headaches with the use of melatonin?> >> When we tried it several years ago, my husband and I both got horrible headaches the morning after taking melatonin. However, after Beverly's info, I started myself on it a few days ago and am having no trouble at all this time. Whether it was due to possibly using a different brand with different fillers, being less toxic now or who knows what, I'm not sure. Have you checked the brand for fillers to see if that could be contributing to your headaches? Do your metals tests show high in other metals along with mercury? We were both poisoned with arsenic spraying in our neighborhood and high in several other metals as well at the time. Gaylen
Guest guest
<anyone have any headaches with the use of melatonin?> Could it be a coincidence that you got an excrutiating headache the same time you took melatonin? I ask because my first excrutiating headache I attributed to several possible things only to learn later that chronic mercury poisoning can cause excrutiating headaches. We have used melatonin for almost a year. There have been NO undesireable side affects. Do you have the melatonin website by Jack Panskkeep? Donna :-)
