Guest guest Posted October 3, 2002 Report Share Posted October 3, 2002 Sir, Accredition of the labs will be a very important step in the right direction, but the parameters laid down for accredition must also include the system of disposal of the waste generated at the lab since that would be highly infectious and needs to be taken care of properly. Otherwise it would pose a grave danger to the society at large. Still we find lackadaisical approach towards treating biomedical waste as per the norms, hence this letter.
