7th ICAAP: Call for opinions

Dear Subscribers to the AIDS-India List,

I wish to inform you that I have been nominated to the International

Advisory Committee of the 7th International Convention on AIDS in the Asia-

Pacific to be held in the Kobe, Japan at the end of year 2003.

We all have our human limitations and I have mine. The brief from the ICAAP

is still not very clear, but when the time comes to put in my bit, I would

love to reflect as many of the concerns of the persons who are either HIV

positive in India or who have been involved in the fight against the

pandemic. I am not clued in on all the concerns of everybody, but I want to

make an attempt at educating/up-dating myself with the kind co-operation of

all of you. For this I urge you to please send me privately your opinions,

concerns, thoughts etc. on what you think a convention like the ICAAP should

include. I see no point in clogging the main list with these mails therefore

the request for the private mails.

I would also appreceate if you could make your mails short and to the point,

which would help me in keeping in mind/noting-down your primary concerns,

not to speak of the fact that it would make the many mails I do receive more

manageable.
