Guest guest
Hi all.........I hate to sound really really ignorant, but I am. The article on the DC hospital about banning mercury products.......I know obviously there's mercury in the thermometers, I know about mercury toxicity. What is the connection though since the mercury is " contained " within the glass? Are we talking about the change of the thermometer breaking, etc.? Please, someone educate me!! THanks,
Guest guest
why are mercury thermometers still being manufactured?
Guest guest
Because Mercury has a negative vapor pressure and can pass thru the plastic bag, don't assume that a plastic bag will contain the mercury if in liquid form. The only way to truly contain it is in a liquid Nitrogen Thermos bottle!!! as a HAZARDOUS MATERIAL. Isn't it strange that 50% of the vaccine material we use on our infants and kids is MERCURY 50% of the fillings we put into our kids teeth is MERCURY when you are sick and seek professional Medical care, you are exposed to Mercury at the doctors office when they take your blood pressure with the old machines with Mercury in them, that is open to the air in the office you are in an environment that might be contaminated from a bunch of broken thermometers in the doctor's office, that allowed the mercury to get under the carpet and is there NOW. If that's not enough about metal contamination, use a rolling pin on your dry cereal that has been " fortified with Iron " , then run a magnet thru the powder, That's the Iron they fortify it with, not even capable of entering into the chemistry of your body and causing major congestion and accumulation of debris Dolphi [ ] Mercury Thermometers > Get rid of any mercury thermometers...take them to toxic waste disposal. I had to comment on this because of my experience. My daughter is mercury toxic, so I took the mercury thermometers and put them on my dresser, meaning to take them to toxic waste disposal. After a few weeks, stuff was piled on them, stuff was moved, and one thermometer fell off the dresser and broke! I can't tell you how mad I was at myself! My lesson: I should have put the thermometer into a ziplock bag. If you have a mercury thermometer, leave your computer RIGHT NOW and put it into a ziplock bag! Then, be sure to take it to the toxic waste disposal. Carolyn =======================================================
Guest guest
> why are mercury thermometers still being manufactured? maybe for the same reason as shots still have thimerosal, and amalgam is still used? In other words: beats the heck out of me. Moria
