Guest guest
I agree with 's post wholeheartedly concerning ALA and how the protocol for adults is different from children. Dr. Holmes had no more idea that mercury was in vaccines at the time she gave them to her son that the rest of us knew about this or amalgams!!! Dr. Holmes and many other doctor's at the DAN will readily admit vaccines were not covered very thoroughly in medical school...hence, we would all agree is part of the problem! Dr. Holmes and Dr. Cave have been working with several hundred children with autism and chelating many of them. Of course, as we all know Doctor's are human too, thus nothing is 100% but, I believe from what I researched, that the current protocol seems the safest and easiest on a CHILD. For those that ALA is working then is right on the mark..if it ain't broke don't fix it! But, every child is different and I am willing to concede that point. Everything has risk and all things should be monitored. How many of us have to did have our kids on strong drugs such as risperdal(I did for a while with my son)....these have risks too...you have to monitor everything you do! Dr. Holmes is doing an excellent job of monitoring these kids via lab work for adverse reactions to the bodies. We just finished round 1 or phase 2(DMSA/ALA)...just a reminder to the new people my son is almost 13 and is Asperger's so I am looking for different sorts of improvement not involving the ability to speak. I am looking for social gains and calmer attitude! I am seeing both! I'll keep the group posted but, so far no side effects except low appetite on the third day. Sharon Howell ( showell10@...)
