Guest guest
What protocol were you using when you had bad results with ALA? I am not doubting you, and I want to know if there is a serious problem with something I am giving my son. But--I do have Andy's book and I have read (most) of it. He is very specific about the protocol. If you are taking ALA, you MUST take it every 3 hours around the clock or it will make you worse. He says DMSA must be taken every 4 hours, but from reports I've read on this list I've come to believe that DMSA is a little more forgiving in this respect, as long as you take it every day. He is also very clear that some people have so much mercury in them that they cannot tolerate large doses of ALA and have to start with very low doses (as low at 10 mg for an adult) at first. This would translate to a tiny amount (2-3 mg?) for a child.
