Guest guest
Dear Members, This has to be rumour !!!! Seeing such absolutely ridiculous statements by a central minister and a state government makes me ashamed to be Indian. Where has Mr. C. P. Thakur been all this time? And what have NACO, UNAIDS, the SACS and all of us who work on HIV prevention in India been doing if such, pardon my saying so, rubbish is still being spewed by those who should know better and are in fact duty bearers of conventions that the Indian government has signed that guarantee rights that the proposed actions will grossly violate. Aren't we are equally accountable for this sorry state of affairs. And rather than doing anything, we're all going to Barcelona, I bet !!! My apologies for being so blunt but I am outraged and feel a great sense of despair at this sorry state. We're close to 15 years since the entry of HIV in India and persons like Dr. Paintal, the then DGHS. This statement is absolutely irresponsible and there must be some way to take those who say such things to task. Dr. Prasada Rao or Mr. Vajpayee, anything you might do to right this wrong? The media?? Sincerely, Dr. ph Chandy dockerala@... ______________________
