Guest guest
Dear Friends, We dont have statistical information about incidence of HIV infection in Indian villages. However the as all of you are aware of HIV infection in villages are caused by poverty, prostituion, ingnorance and many other causes. The Govt. alone has not been able to provide health care to vast majority of villages. In most of the Indian villages, Registered Medical Practioners (RMP) give IM,IV and first aid to most of the patients. These RMPS are uneducated, and untrained to practice medicine. However villagers have direct access to these individuals. Therefore in the fight against spread of HIV infection in villages, training of RMPs should be top priority. In order do that we need to understand their attitude towards HIV disease. Are there any studies done about attitude of paramedical towards HIV in India and elsewhere? If anyone has such information I would be grateful to go thru that. Dr.Madhukar E-mail: <madhukurnool@...> _________________________
