Guest guest
We've always just used the capsules. I know that sometimes it is not readily absorbed that way. More specifically though, it doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier so it cannot help the brain. I know Carol in IL uses the glut. cream with good results, from what I remember. I think, if I remember right, she uses a glut cream from Kirkman Labs. Another thing that successfully raises glutathione levels is Methylcobalamin B12. We give my brother MeB12 lozenges every day. He takes 1/4 of a 1000mcg sublingual lozenge. This link has a good cream and it also has some good info on it, including info from Dr. Jill : http://www.springboard4health.com/store/more_glutathione_plus4.html Qadoshyah Book ~ Down Syndrome: What You CAN Dowww.gotdownsyndrome.net/Book/whatyoucandobook.html glutathione: capsules vs. cream I've looked at studies about low levels of glutathione in persons with chronic lung issues, including asthma, and so I thought it made sense to try giving some extra glutathione (there is a small amount in Nutrivene Daily Supplement). So, I ordered some in capsule form from Jarrow Formulas. My order just came in the mail, today, the very day that I find out that glutathione tends to be NOT very easily absorbed by the gastro-intestional tract! And that transdermal cream is more effective!Anyone use the cream? What's your experience? Do I just send the capsules back unopened? Or would they at least do some good? Should I try them and order the cream next time?Blessings, No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Help the brain how? Niclole at Nutravene gave me that same link. That is why I was asking questions. But my dh would rather not be ordering another product before we have tried the capsules from Jarrow formulas. Qadoshyah <feargod@...> wrote: We've always just used the capsules. Guest guest
By reducing oxidative stress because it is an antioxidant. It is also important in red blood cells. The best way to increase glutathione is to supplement N-acetyl-l-cysteine, but there have been some rumors that it (NAC) may increase oxidative stress in DS. I had corresponded via email with Dr. Jill , but I can't find those emails at the moment. . . if I find them, I'll see if there's any other info in there that may be helpful. It wouldn't hurt to give the Jarrow Formulas glutathione to some of the others in the family, if you did want to switch to the cream .
