Martha was diagnosed with apraxia by one SLP, and though she is delayed (I think due a large part to being rather lazy!), her vocabulary and skills continue to increase. Personally, I think it would help. If you can't afford the evaluation, you might find someone in your area who employs Sara's methods. In a nutshell, her method is PT for the neck up.
