Guest guest
She is a speech therapist specializing in oral motor type exercises to improve speech. She seems to have mixed reviews- some loved her and swear she was the key for their child and other's weren't impressed. One issue many have brought up is being to continue the program at home. It calls for very specificly done exercises and it's often hard for parents to do it just right. Some have taken their ST along to learn how to do it and/or get trained.I bought her book for ST and loaned it to her STs and they all loved it so much they ended up buying their own! Carol in IL AIM doihavtasay1 GigaTribe doihavtasayMom to seven including , 7 with TOF, AVcanal, GERD, LS, Asthma, subglottal stenosis, and DS.My problem is not how I look. It's how you see me. Guest guest
Carol this is so true. I am an SLP and I use SRJ’s Talk Tools program and it doesn’t work near as well unless there is carryover at home! I plan on using it with my little Addy but she’s too young right now but I am definitely a believer in the program! Cammie Re: SRJ Cllinic in Houston, Tx Who are they? Guest guest
For us, using Sara's methods worked wonders, as Martha did not have the strength to chew and subsequently was choking quite a bit. After implementing her program at home, there was a vast difference. And you're right, unless you're willing to put the time and effort into the program at home, it won't work.
