Guest guest
http://childrenstherapyfund.org/index.html Welcome to the Children's Therapy Fund website! Reaching out to all Michigan families in need, the Children's Therapy Fund helps pay for high-quality care by leading experts in all pediatric disciplines. Direct grants issued by the Fund help assure that as many children as possible have access to the diagnostic and therapeutic services they need to reach their full potential. The Fund was created to assist families whose children are at risk of being incorrectly labeled as " problem " , " incorrigible " , or " learning disabled " because they cannot afford the proven pediatric interventions available to advance their child's physical, intellectual and emotional development. The Children's Therapy Fund believes that all children are " special needs " children. Normal childhood development is a series of sequential developmental milestones. Often, small interventions, conducted at critical junctures, dramatically enhance a child's ability to achieve these milestones. These interventions are often short-term group or individual sessions of physical, occupational, speech/ language, and/or vision therapy. With pediatric therapy, as with most endeavors in life, timing is everything. If milestones are missed, problems tend to compound. The Children's Therapy Fund strives to assure that a child's access to life-altering therapies at critical junctures is not determined solely by economic means or the availability of insurance coverage. Our GOALS: To fund physical therapy services for children to promote physical development and growth and to treat movement dysfunctions To fund occupational therapy services for children to promote life skills development and classroom success To fund speech and language services for children to help them communicate effectively and to provide a solid foundation for academic and social success To fund vision therapy services to help children with visual dysfunctions succeed in academic settings To fund hippotherapy to provide children with the opportunity to grow physically and emotionally To fund other innovative pediatric programs that enhance the quality of children's lives Go to link above to download an application
