Samraksha is a Bangalore-based NGO providing HIV/AIDS counseling, testing,

and support services to individuals in the Bangalore area, as well as

reproductive health services for women. Samraksha invites applications for the

following positions, for a research project on gender, power and reproductive

health.

1. Research Assistants

Key Responsibilities: Include recruitment of research participants,

interviews and FGDs and follow-up.

Qualifications: Masters in Sociology/Psychology/ Social Work with research

experience; Comfort in discussing clinical and sensitive issues in the area

of sexual/reproductive health including HIV/AIDS. Fluency in Kannada and

Tamil required; in Hindi/Urdu/Telugu / English desirable.

2. Outreach Workers

Key Responsibilities: Include sensitising the community about

reproductive/sexual health matters including HIV/AIDS, recruiting and

following up study participants.

Qualifications:: Community outreach experience in government/NGO sector.

Fluency in Kannada and Tamil required; in Hindi/Urdu/Telugu /English

desirable.

3. Administrator/ Accountant

Key Responsibilities: Accounts, financial reporting, office administration

including HR.

Qualifications: B. Com/M. Com/ICWAIA with 4-5 years experience

4. Administrative Assistant

Key Responsibilities: Drafting/typing documents and other office

administration.

Qualifications: Graduate with good writing skills in English, proficiency in

Microsoft Office.
