Warren's Blog [Warren s] 12 Million new cases of Cancer Diagnosed in 2007!!! In addition Cancer also killed 8 million people worldwide in 2007!!! These figures are part of a report " Global Cancer Facts & Figures " prepared by the American Cancer Society. The facts do support the contention that the ‘War on Cancer’ is being lost as the numbers continue to increase. The sad reality in my opinion is that the " war " will never be won until people are educated to understand that the majority of cancers are lifestyle related and generally avoidable. There are naturally exceptions to that statement given that some cancers are initiated by infections which can come from multiple sources as well as genetic flaws. These are however in the minority. Will this education actually happen? No, not unless a big miracle occurs! Why? Well, the main reason is money! The cancer industry is BIG money. There are many “Corporates†and individuals who would not like to see the status quo changed. There are livelihoods and investments that these people feel need to be protected. I believe that most of the people in the cancer " industry " are well meaning sincere individuals who have trained intensively for their jobs. But -- the training is all slanted to intervention and in recent years to early detection. However, there is no such thing as " early " detection. By the time that a cancer is detected it is well advanced and has taken many years to get to that point. I agree that the earlier it is detected the better the chance that intervention protocols will be successful…but only a percentage are. The key to reducing the number of cancer cases is education and prevention. That is having people understand that we all have cancers present within us. Throughout our lives there is a constant battle going on within our bodies between pro-cancer agents and anti-cancer agents. A weakening in our body's anti-cancer agents which need a constant supply of essential nutrients to remain effective can tip the scales and allow the cancer to gain a foothold on which to advance. Therefore, if you are concerned about the possibility of getting cancer make sure that you do everything to prevent it from taking hold. That means -- -- A sensible diet devoid of processed foods, and plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits. -- Reasonable exercise to help stimulate your hormonal cascade. -- Supplementation with nutrients that will help provide the fuel for your body’s defense systems. An idea supplement for this purpose is our very own Total Balance that has a wide range of " anti-cancer " nutrients present. To read an article about the report please click here. What about meat? And frozen vegetables? February 11, 2008 | Dave Hi Dave, Warren is away at present so I hope you don't mind me answering in his place. Bread and cereals are ok in moderation. I wouldn't concentrate on eating too much bread, as it can be quite stodgy for the system. If you do eat bread try to go for the seeded granary kind, but keep it occasional. Cereals are fine as the right kind do contain alot of good fibre for your system. You can get some organic untreated cereals from health food shops if you wish, but if not the high fibre ones are fine if you wish to have them. Meats in moderation are also fine. Try to stay clear of as many red meats as possible, but of course the occasional treat won't do you any harm! Best meats are organic chicken, turkey, and of course plenty of fish. Fresh vegetables are best, organic where possible, as raw vegetables are better for you if you can have them this way, but if this is not possible then frozen vegetables, very lightly simmered are better than nothing at all. Mainstay dietary products for good overall general health are (raw) vegetables, fruits, raw nuts, plenty of seeds, lentils and fish. Untreated brown rice, millet, and grains are also good. Ensure your pure fluid content is plentiful too, as many people miss this and easily become dehydrated without noticing that this is the problem. Plenty of pure water and freshly blended vegetable juices are good. We do have a basic nutritional guideline that I can send you upon request. If you wish this please email me at jo@... and I will send it to you. Hope this helps.
