Dear Friends,

CHIILA(Branch of a tree) has become a known center for the sex workers

children in Kerala.It functions as a roosting place for the Sex workers

children. It's neither a shelter nor an orphanage but CHILLA is a support

system which facilitate as branch of a tree does to birds. We address their

right to have decent and human life. They're no longer orphans. They have

mothers and so are different from the rest.

We value the human rights of a mother whether she is sex worker or criminal

and provide prominence to the rights of children. Our center is one the

mothers keep them without any anxiety and resistance. She can come there at

any time and we will initiate a networking with the different groups.We

provide all facilities as any normal child gets under average families.We

are fighting to defuse the stigma attached to it.

Sex Workers Forum Kerala has initiated a support group to run this home and

without any funding from donor agencies.Anil and Roja have decided not to

have children for themselves and devoting their life for CHILLA.Interested

people can contact,volunteer and support their work and We feel that these

are some of the ways one can do to turn the earth good for every one to

live with dignity and worth
