Guest guest Posted January 11, 2003 Report Share Posted January 11, 2003 Mata Amritanandamayi to build AIDS hospital Chennai, Jan 11 The Mata Amritanandamayi Math proposes to build an hospital for AIDS patients in Thiruvanthapuram. the Math's Chennai Kendra head Brahmachari Vinayamrita Chaitanya told reporters that details of the project were being worked out. The Math runs numerous educational institutions and hospitals across the country, including the state-of-the-art multi-speciality Amrita hospital at Kochi. Congregational archanas and pujas for universal peace and harmony would be conducted at the math here for three days from January 14. Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, affectionately called Amma, the supreme head of the math, having centres all over the globe, is visiting Chennai for three days from January 13 in connection with the 13th anniversary celebrations of the Brahmasthanam Temple here. She is scheduled to give darsan to devotees during the period. Former Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary T V Venkataraman is the Chairman of the Math's Utsav Committee.
