Guest guest
Hi-- I have an HIV+ Nepali friend who needs to obtain a CD4 count. This test is unavailable in Nepal. If you can help with any of the following questions, please do so. Due to difficulties I am having with this email address, please if possible send replies ALSO to lalzephyr@.... 1) What hospital(s) or clinic(s) in Delhi or Kolkata have CD4 testing available? 2) What is the cost? 3) What is the procedure for a non-Indian? Are there barriers or problems for a non-Indian to obtain this test? 4) Are there risks, legal or otherwise? Any help is greatly appreciated. A group of us are beginning to address how we can help Nepal to make such diagnostics available at least in Kathmandu in the near future. We hope also this project will increase access to antivirals. Ideas for developing such a project are deeply appreciated. M. Director, FIAR http://aidsinfonyc.org/fiar
