Guest guest
FYI Ellen Ellen Garber Bronfeld egskb@... [iLAssnMicroboardsandatives] Q Training The IAMC is working with the DHS Bureau of Quality Management to provide training for individuals desiring training as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP). The 40 hour training will be provided online using the Illinois curriculum, and with a certified trainer. It will be offered in approximately 15 sessions over a period of weeks during evenings and weekends. We are attempting to determine the level of interest in this offering as we move forward. Please let me know if you are interested in continuing to receive information as this develops. As a clarification, QIDP is the newly approved label for what used to be called a QSP (Qualified Support Professional) and before that, a QMRP. In addition to completing the 40 hour training, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a field related to human services, such as education, psychology, social work, etc., and one year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (parenting counts!).
