This interactive presentation focuses (Day 1) on how to establish effective school-wide Discipline, Behavior Management, and School Safety systems to increase students' interpersonal, social problem-solving, conflict prevention and resolution, and emotional coping skills, as well as their academic engagement and academic achievement. Using a " Positive Behavioral Support " foundation, the workshop then (Day 2) discusses Strategic and Intensive interventions to assist challenging students who are behaviorally unsuccessful or non-responsive. For each intervention, the following information will be provided: (a) problem situations where the intervention is most-used or most useful; ( functional assessment outcomes that necessarily link to make this intervention relevant; © the age levels where the intervention will be most successful; and (d) the severity level of the student and/or problem where the intervention will be most successful.
