Hello, I have been running a small group of parents and family members of mostly

adult children with disabilities and we have had many great speakers last year

and I am looking for someone who can help some of the parents with the tricks of

filling paper work out correctly, then fighting for benefits they deserve and

what other services are available to us. I have a parent who has been having

problems with the LINK card process. They give her different amounts, tell them

they are not supposed to get it, then they are, getting the run around. She

tried to get a job coach and was given the run around with that and I am not

sure if it is the parents or the system. Can somone either help a parent in

DuPage County who has questions or point us in the right direction? Is there

one point of contact that can help a parent with this that is free and that is

not an employee of the state or federal government? Thank you so much.

Shirley
