Vehicle registration & tile

We have a special needs child who is 19 yrs. old. We are in the process of

purchasing a wheelchair conversion van to transport her. My question is

“Should her name be on the registration along with ours?†If it was we

would get license plates at a reduced fee under circuit breaker.

If we were to purchase the vehicle can I do the purchasing or should I

contribute the $’s to her Special Needs Trust for the Trust to purchase?

We pay a very low insurance rate now. Not sure if that would increase with her

on the registration. Need to ask my agent.

She has SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Circuit Breaker, Adult Home Base, and a Link card.

We do not want to lose any of her benefits over a minor savings.

We are her legal guardian.
