Sign Up NOW!! GLASA event at the Chicago Children's Museum

GLASA and Chicago Children’s Museum team up for

PLAY FOR ALL!!!

WHAT: Chicago Children’s Museum invites children and families with

disabilities to experience CCM’s playful, multisensory exhibits and activities.

WHERE: Chicago Children's Museum at Navy Pier

WHEN: Saturday, February 11, 2012 Play for All opens at 9 a.m. (CCM opens to

the public at 10 a.m.)

Join us as we welcome Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association. GLASA provides

integrative recreational and competitive sports activities for youth, adults and

injured military who have a primary physical or visual disability.

Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of adaptive

sports including:

Goalball, Roller Sled Hockey, Judo, Boccia, Wheelchair races, Prosthetics

demonstrations, hand cycling and more!

Guest Speakers include:

Kim Borowicz: Tandem Cyclist, Paralympic Hopeful, Hailey Danisewicz:

Paratriathlete, Eugene Halpin: Handcyclist/Paratriathlete

Performance by:

Empowered Fe Fe’s

Registration opened TODAY, Monday, January 16, 2012. The first 100 visitors to

register receive FREE admission (limit 6 per family).

Pre-registration is required.

Thank you to all contributing adaptive sports organizations including: GLASA,

Chicago Park District, dare2tri paratriathlon club, SEASPAR, Adaptive

Adventures, Handcycle Chicago, Menomonee Judo Club, World Sports Chicago Scheck

and Siress and Chicago Children’s Museum’s Metropolitan Board.

If you register for the FREE entry to the museum you must enter before 10 AM.

Programs will run from 9 AM – 1 PM. You are welcome to come later than 10 AM

but then you will need to pay. In order to get the FREE entry you must register

ahead of time by calling (312) 321-6551. Feel free to pass this along to any

children or families with disabilities!
