Guest guest
Dear JL, You wrote of Dr. See: " Is his interest in real CFS issues and problems going down the drain? JL " In a speech he gave two years ago he was bemoaning the fact that it's extremely difficult to get research funding for CFS. Also, I read in the New York Times that even the best researchers have trouble getting jobs doing any kind of research at all--even if they have M.D. degrees. So if you want to do research, I suppose you consider yourself lucky to get any kind of job at all--even for a horrid MLM like Mannatech. My guess is that Dr. See is still interested, but just can't get money to do the work. Sue B.
Guest guest
I have heard similar complaints about getting any sort of funding for medical research. I have old acquaintances from college who are suffering through a real drought in funding. They all say the war on cancer was the best thing that happened to medical research.
