Could this be the reason for the good response and then worsening of some

patients on IV saline?

2) Don't drink excessively. Do not drink more than 64 oz. of water a day

(unless you're sweating a lot or something.) Excessive water intake sets

in motion a chain of events that leads to excessive water loss, worsening the

very condition you are trying to address.
