Guest guest
hi phil, all, orginally i started out with low red blood cell zinc levels but with injections they came up to normal level quickly. While my red blood cell copper levels were low a four -five years ago which can be a result in my case from the zinc sulfate injections monthlyl.( drug insert warns of affect on copper levels)( unable tolerate oral suppliments because of sensitive stomach) with 1x week cuppoer sulfate for a month the levels came back to normal. then about two years ago my red blood cell copper levels went below normal again( zinc red blood cells have remined all the time with maintenace zinc sulfte doseages within normal range) tried copper sulfate injections weekly for long time and my levels kept going lower.... gave up last fall and the levels are up slightly but remian abnorally low.( used same lab and unsure why.) * Phil, i havent read the book but does this make any sense to you from your understanding of copper:zinc balance... i know you arent an md but have certain knowledge and experiance with this. many mds dont use/unsure value of red blood cell mineral levels.(my md stopped taking them awhile back)adds up price wise the tests. ( also have red blood cell: calcium: molybdenum at zero long standing promblem) I havent met anyone yet who has this nor know why or how to treat it!! appreciate all information. ellice
Guest guest
I hope I make sense with this but the mind is really slow today. The book mentions that the blood levels of copper will not necessarily correspond to the tissue level. Thus you could have high levels in the tissue where it's harmful but inadequate levels in the bloodstream. I would think this could be possible with our minerals. My frustration with many physicians is that they will not even consider that the two could be different. The blood tests are viewed as gospel truth. As to why calcium and molybdenum are at zero I wouldn't even be able to hazard a guess .
