Hi ,I recently sent this post to Peggy.

From: Peggomatic@...

Has anyone heard of Dr. Petrovic in South Africa? I recently checked out his

web site at http://www.cfidshealth.com/

and though he makes some fantastic claims and could very well be another

quack, some of what he says is interesting, and some of the patient

testimonials are very hopeful. I am wondering if anyone has done or thought

of doing his protocol? I was especially interested in the fact that he had

done before and after testing with the CFIDS urinary marker test (CFSUM-1).

It seems to lend some credibility to what he is claiming.

Hi Peggy,

I went on the Petrovic protocol last year.100 supplements per day!It cost

me a small

fortune $6,000 Aust,for 3-6 months supply.

I spoke to two people in Australia who both had very good results from the

protocol. Also I emailed two people in England who had impressive testimonies

They were more than pleased with the treatment.

I started my treatment at the same time as two other women here in Australia.

After several months all three of us were no better off.

We were all offered free supplements (had to pay freight and duty costs)to

continue, none of us accepted the offer.

I still have little bags full of supplements in my cupboard. The reason

being was

from the first week I started taking the protocol I came down with a heavy

flu.

I had not had one in 3 years.I continued to catch the flu back to back, every

few weeks I would be in bed dying.I'm not talking about a sore throat and

headache. These were the full on influenza type with the full range of

symptoms.

I had suspected that there was a connection with the protocol,Petrovic

strongly

disagreed.I could not tolerate these flu episodes any longer so last year

in September I stopped the protocol.I have only had one minor flu

since(this winter

with half the country ill).

I can't say for certain if the protocol was the cause but I was too scared

to keep

taking it.

I did find I felt better when I stopped and recognised that I had stopped

relapsing

as often and as severaly as before.

From day one of my illness I had a pattern of coping for a couple of weeks

and then going down.I would spend several days in bed get a little better

and than repeat the cycle over and over.

I seem to have outgrown this pattern.

Whether this change had to do with the protocol who knows.

I still get newsletters from a man here who is Nash Petrovic's representative.

His grand daughter had Ross River Fever,a mosquito virus. She developed CFS

went

on the protocol and had a degree of recovery.

There are some impressive stories from a few people who have tried the

protocol.

There are also failures as myself that Nash is not too keen to talk about.

He believes that in my case my lack of recovery was due to anti biotics in

the past.

He did want me to keep up the protocol but I felt that after $6,000 and

several months, some improvement should have occured.

If you have the money to lose it could be a gamble that pays off.Atleast I

don't

think the protocol will do any harm.

I can't deny some people have done very well but I don't think they are the

majority.

Good Luck,
