Guest guest Posted May 22, 2002 Report Share Posted May 22, 2002 Yes, Allgroves syndrome (AAA syndrome) is linked to Achalasia in children. They are getting ready to start testing my daughter for this. She does not produce tears when she crys. It is thought to be inherited through families with a lot of inbreeding. So, I am not sure how my daughter has come down with this. Her father and I are not related in any way shape or form other than marriage vows. They obviously still have a lot to learn about this disease. They are going to do some genetic tests on that have to be sent to London. I figure if we have to deal with this disease anyway, at least maybe they can learn something from my daughter that will help treat other kids.
