Guest guest
LOL I don;t drool over anyone to speak of, except some of the aging fine artists I know, oh, and my Dr is pretty hot too!!! (shh don't tell Tim) So my drools are far more insidious, as they are over people I know! Pin up boys don't do anything for me actually. Though I think Keanu is very pretty, if I wanted a toy boy that is. Jon bon Jovi?? LOL well the less said the better I think :-) Oh well, each to his or her own! I was trying to think of my first major drool, and I couldn't think of one, really, though when I was 15 I actually quite liked !!!! (slinks away...) Think it was the hip movements that did it for me! Also maybe it had something to do with the fact that I was going out with someone who looked a quite a bit like him! This IS (pre most of his disasterous surgery)in 1982 I am talking about, when " Thriller " first came out (now I am showing my age) LOL Actually maybe Jon Bon Jovi, was preferable!!! (to anyway, though that isnt really saying much is it!) (who has just humiliated herself totally....but I don't like him anymore!!!!!!! Promise!!!) Anyway how do you know I have an innocent look? (actually I do, and one would never suspect that behind such an innocent exterior lies such murky depths!) :-) >From: " Aisha Elderwyn " <aisha@...> >Reply-egroups > " Being Sick Community List " <egroups> >Subject: drool >Date: Mon, 1 May 2000 12:54:14 +1000 > > " It has been a while..... how can you even look at Wahlburg, you are >seriously demented girl, to be even thinking about it! Guest guest
Well I am 33 (just turned) so 26 sounds a lot better! you wouldn't have been drooling over anyone when jackson released Thriller (cause it mustve been in 82-83 correct me if I am wrong.) So you were the grand old age of....wait for it....8 yrs old when I was just starting to drink and smoke (various substances!) and otherwise cause havoc. Now that makes me feel old! :-) >From: " Aisha Elderwyn " <aisha@...> >Reply-egroups ><egroups> >Subject: Re: drool >Date: Mon, 1 May 2000 15:27:51 +1000 > >Hey.... bag me out then confess ???? > >I will NOT comment *wink* I dont need to! *laughs* > >Hahahahah....god we are old! I'm 32 weeks pregnant and suffer from chronic A, over the last few nights my "drool" (drool and stomach contents i think) seem to have increased. I woke up this morning and my hair and pillows were sopping wet and smelt funny! is this normal? Or should I be consulting my A Doc? Guest guest
I too wake up with sticky stuff on my lips. Luckily not quite as unattractive as you as it doesn't reach my cheeks etc. No answers just empathy. Guest guest
My daughter also wakes up with a pool of drool and the dried up sticky stuff all over her lips. Â We just use an extra pillow case under her head to keep from having to wash sheets every day. Guest guest
I get the SAME thing. I, like Kathy's daughter (who is a personal friend of mine), use something under my head to avoid dirtying the sheets. Nothing can prevent it, but 2 things I've found that help are: #1 putting a thick coating of Vasaline on and around my lips (cake it on). It makes it much easier to wipe the dried drool off and not have to scrub the skin layers off your lips, hahaha. #2 DO NOT use the humidifiers that typically come with the BiPAPs. Use the ones made for vents. They give much better humidity = less drying. I keep my humidifier set between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius. > > > > Hi Folks, > > I drool prolifically when I sleep while using my positive pressure > ventilator with nasal pillows. Guest guest
I fold a fluffy wash cloth in half, line it up next to my face " long-ways " and change it throughout the night as needed. ~a ________________________________ From: althegrrl <alanarutht@...> Sent: Tue, December 7, 2010 9:24:21 PM Subject: Drool Hi Folks, I drool prolifically when I sleep while using my positive pressure ventilator with nasal pillows. Guest guest
Alana, We coat Brett with Vaseline on and around his lips and even on the cheek he is laying on, cause sometimes the drool pools up there and then put a half of a washcloth under the side of his face. I cut the washcloth in half so it isn't so bulky. The other thing I have found is to make sure the washcloth isn't bunched up under his face, make sure it is flat so there isn't any irritation to his cheek. The Vaseline helps so we can just wipe him off with a washcloth or a wipe, it makes it very easy to wipe. Hope this helps! Guest guest
Alana We have the same issue with Charlie. We, like Kristal, coat his lips and checks but we use Aquafor because it is there and handy. What we do though is put the white clothe diapers under his head. That way when we roll him it keeps both sides dry. We will change them out as needed at night when we roll him. But the clothe diapers are very absorbant and thin enough that they are comfortable and it keeps his pillow dry. Merry Christmas! Guest guest
I've drooled at night even before I was on the BiPap. I cover the pillow with a baby blanket to keep it dry. I have simply come to the conclusion its better that it ends up on my pillow then in my lungs. It may not be attractive but hell, who is in the morning?! ;-) I started taking Benadryl before bed to help dry up a post nasal drip and that seems to help the drooling a little bit. & Ivy- service dog extraordinaire www.k94life.org On 12/7/2010 9:24 PM, althegrrl wrote: > Hi Folks, > > I drool prolifically when I sleep while using my positive pressure ventilator with nasal pillows.
