Guest guest
Hello Dr. Katz, I am fairly new to this group. My son will be 15 years old this month. He is has severe language delays, learning disabilities, and can not read. We live in San Diego. To make a long story shorter...in the past he has been evaluated by many doctors. He does not have a stated " Diagnosis " . The Regional Center said he did not qualify for anything that they have because he does fall into their catagories and his IQ appeared to high. (he was about 3 years old). Our medical insurance is Kaiser. They have not been the least bit helpful. He seems to be older than most of the children associated with this site. We are still looking for help and an evaluation. Where can we go? Are there any studies or research centers? We would greatly appreciate any referral. My son is sensitive to head trama. He has been to the emergency room about 6 times. I have only found one doctor that has seem this sensivity in his practice. Does this sounds like a related to apraxia?
