[Moderator's note : Please take note that completed surveys should beemailed directly to ICASO tanyaj@... OR APCASO pcaso@... by 11th September (Wed) 2002. Thanks] ----- Dear Colleagues Please find below a survey that has been developed to support the southern NGO representatives to the Board of the Global Fund to understand better the involvement of the civil society community in the process of accessing resources. Since its inception, the Global Fund has recognized civil society as a key partner in the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Along with governments and the private sector, civil society representatives were involved in the Transitional Working Group (TWG), are on the Board, and are now integral to the Country Coordinating Mechanisms (CCMs). As countries prepare proposals for the Second Round, we would like to learn more about civil society experiences with CCMs in the First Round and in the current Round. This information is valuable to us, and to the organizations supporting the survey, as it will provide a clearer picture of how the processes and partnerships are working at country level. It provides the opportunity to share what strategies are working effectively as well as help us identify areas that could use improvement in order to ensure civil society involvement. Please take a moment to fill out the survey, and forward completed surveys to ICASO tanyaj@... OR APCASO apcaso@... by 11th September (Wed) 2002. This survey is being conducted in conjunction with APCASO, AfriCASO,LACCASO , REDLA+, GNP+ and ICASO. REDLA+, Communication Point of Contact email info@..., provides communication support to the Developing or Southern NGO Board Member. Thank you very much.
