Role of a Medical Officer in a Drop-in Centre.

Hello,

I have a question about the role of a Medical Officer in a Drop-in Centre. What

he/she is exactly supposed to do other than monitoring medical problems related

to HIV/AIDS and eliminating minor elements related to the virus ?

Is his/her role restricted to medical aspects ? Or he/she can be involved in the

social aspects i.e. organising awareness programmes ?

Please guide me with this and please give me something concrete which can be

immediately implemented.
