I assumed the number of orphans in India would be devastating, but I never realized just how high the numbers actually are. I'm working with Parmarth Niketan ashram in Rishikesh. We have the capacity to take in some of these children immediately. Can anyone guide me towards organizations or people who may be able to help me locate AIDS orphans who need a home? We can take up to 300 boys immediately and will have the capacity to take 1-2000 girls and boys by next year. I'm also wondering what is being done on a local community level in terms of long term solutions to the AIDS orphans problem? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
