Guest guest
Hi , I was also diagnosed with systemic scleraderma in the GI tract. Six to nine months later I was still alive with no progression so they switched to Achalasia. Scleraderma- , did you ever go see Dr. Patti! We were out there on Valentines day, and it was gorgeous... We took the kids to the exploratorium and then down on Pier 39 for clam chower! All our noisy kids amongst the "romantic couples!!" Ha! it was great! On CATscans, they saw his thickened E and I thought maybe that part of whythey considered scleraderma. Anyway, they ruled it out early, thankfully (I guess ). I don't remember exactly how they ruled itout, though. Interesting that it's autoimmune, has a sisterwith rheumatoid arthritis. Hope everyone is having a great day! in Michigan
Guest guest
Carolyn, We cancelled our trip to see Dr. Patti because said he trusted Dr. Rice's opinion and would rather have surgery in Cleveland. He's trying Niphedipine with some success, so we're still hoping to put off surgery. Valentine's Day was supposed to be 's appointment with Dr. Patti. What a coincedence that you were there when we were SUPPOSED to be there! How was the weather? Warm? I am a little disappointed that we didn't get a chance to see San Fran. We've only ever been to southern CA. Glad to hear you had fun! in Michigan (cold here, and they're predicting possible freezing rain for early a.m. tomorrow) > Long before they diagnosed with DES, they briefly considered > systemic scleraderma as a possible cause of his problems.
