Re: New Doc.....Here's the scoop!

Hi All,

I had fun on Tuesday! After a 3 hour drive to Tampa I was greeted

at the front desk by problems with my insurance company. It turns

out they had the name wrong and it was fixed in short order. I

breathed a sigh of relief.

I saw Dr. Boyces NP (nurse practitioner) first and then had a great

time talking with him. He has lots of great info and is willing to

share it!! He does a monthly newsletter on swallowing disorders.

He gave me several back issues which I will scan and put in the

files.

The short version of the story is the word we all hate to hear

STRICTURE. On Feb 28th I get to go back again and have a dilation.

I am not real excited about that, but then again I have been through

it so many times I am not worried about it either.

All in all it was really good.

As for choosing a doctor, I wrote about find a good doctor and what

questions to ask doctors in a document that is posted in the files.

Some others have also writen some good stuff. If your having

problems finding a knowledgeable Doc, see the files.
