Guest guest
Dear , , Carol, & , I have read back over the posts and I think there are five of us who are facing this decision. Have I missed anyone? , Jan and Ed have already made their decisions and doing very nicely. Your are fantastic encouragement, thanks. Have I missed anyone there? I did suggest that we have some way of communicating with each other as I did not want to scare anyone who is newly diagnosed as I do think this is a big deal. However, there appeared to be an opinion from others that they may like to read and contribute, which is great. Also, on reflection I may have taken more care of my oesophagus had I have realised this could be a possibility, so maybe it is a good thing to be open. I guess if we use a title that is obvious then people can either choose to read and reply or simply delete the E-mail. My other issue is I don't log on every day and sometimes there are so many E-mails. I do try to read every one but sometimes I simply can't and I don't want to miss any posts that have been specifically sent to me. Another reason for advocating we use a subject heading that is obviously about oesophagectomy. It took me a few days to get over the posting from Peggy (don't worry Peggy as reality does us no harm but it did make me have a tiny panic). I would appreciate a bit of an exchange as to what has got us to this point and how people are making their decision and also how people are managing in the meantime as I have had some awful days this week:- under a pint of fluid on Suday. (and it is just so hot). Does anyone else think this is a good thing/useful to do or have I got it wrong? STEVE
