Guest guest Posted September 5, 2006 Report Share Posted September 5, 2006 At times when I feel as if I need to get relief, the food stuck comes up without a problem, other times, it comes with some a force that it can be extremely painful...does anyone else go through the forceful episodes, if so did you find it was due to specific foods? Is there anything that can be done to lessen the pain? I have not yet found a link between what I ate or drank that can lessen the forcefullness of all of it.. Also, I have read other comments from members indicating the use of carbonated drinks. I was told when I was first dianosed, that carbonation was a help to get the food down...why is this? It never has seemed to work for me. In fact, when eating, if I feel the pressure building, I try not to drink anything...it seems to make it worse, and then the liquid comes up followed by the food...whereas sometimes I believe I would have been better off not adding to an already bad situation.
