Hey - it's not silly or anything - you have to think about all

of the aspects of your surgery, including what you're going to look

like after. Part of scarring also is a genetic and coloring thing. In

my family, we all scar horribly - we form keloids which are really

thick; still pinker than my other skin after 17 years, kind of scars.

Oh well, like anything - you weigh your options. Eat well for 17

years now - and hopefully going strong for some more - or worry about

wearing a bikini. (and I was only 20 at the time so I still wore

bikinis then) It was a no-brainer.

Now - I had my gall bladder out last year laproscopically and you can

barely see those scars anymore - they were so small they only covered

them with steri-strips.

Thankfully they have all of those nice tankini styles. Whatever your

scar looks like, it shouldn't really be visible to the masses all too

much anyway.

Maybe you'll be one of those lucky ones -where you can't see anything

after a few months anyway.

Good luck with your surgery - I'll take happy swallowing over a

bikini any day!!

- in Va.
