Guest guest
I'm so glad I found this group. I was diagnosed with chrico achalasia last week by my ear nose and throat specialist. It seems as though I had it detected early after only 1 year of symptoms. My doctor said Chrico Achalasia is the tightening of the upper esophogus and is caused by chronic acid reflux. My symptons are mild, just a lump in my throat when i swallow, and a little bit of pain in my chest. I'm wondering if my diagnosis is similar to those who have regular achalasia. Do these symptoms sound similar to regular achalasia? I'm not having trouble swallowing and holding foods down, I've never re-gurgitated food before. My doctor also says the symptoms will go away after 6 months if I do the following: -take acephix 30 minutes prior to dinner -don't lay down for 4 hours after eating -elevate the head of my bed 4 inches Any information/experiences on the above would be great.
