what if botox doesn't work

I don't really have achalasia. it is more of diffuse spasms and nutcracker esophagus where the upper sphinctor muscles give me more of the problem.They don't seem to have much info on my type and I haven't found doctors with much experience with it. I've already been to Temple University and to a doctor in Manhatten. My doctor has only had two patients with this. My first botox didn't work and now they want to repeat it or do the baloon dilation. My dr. wants me to make the decision and I am completely confused. Do you know if anyone has had a second botox and it worked after the first one didn't? Thanks for the help.
