Guest guest Posted September 4, 2002 Report Share Posted September 4, 2002 1 st patient a younfg female who presented with blindness: After discharge from the hospital parents disowened her and send her out of the house. She was left with her inlaws where she was allegedly badly ill treated. She further developed meningitis and status epilepticus. On CSF examination eshe was found to have Cryptococcal meningitis. She is being treated with Amphotericin B and antiepileptics. No support from the family, noone touches her. On treatment with best efforts by Doctors but on the part of family members waiting her to die. Other young male with Toxoplasmosis responded well to Sulphadiazine and Clndamycin. Back to work.
