I noticed that a negative message about Dr. Patti went without comment. None of the doctors are perfect. One can only make a good guess as to which doctor to go to. Any of the doctors that are often mentioned here would probably be a good guess for who would do a good job, but there are no guarantees. As to the adrenal tumor. You didn't give specifics, but what I understand, from looking into this a year ago, is that the typical adrenal adenoma is often not considered a big deal unless the patient shows some signs of adrenal dysfunction or the mass is over 3cm. I was told that one in 10,000 is malignant, and world wide there has never been a malignant one under 4cm. So, IF your "tumor" was consistent with a benign adenoma I can understand your surgeon not being interested in it. I would hope it would be noted in reports to your other doctors though. Your urologist or endocrinologist would be interested in it and if it grows over 4cm a surgeon would be interested in it. Just my understanding though, which could be wrong. .... A highly trained surgeon also knows better than to give someone versed if they are allergic to it. ...
