Guest guest
I finally received the results of my manometry. I have Nutcracker Esophagus. I've started some calcium channel blocker medicine, and acid reflux therapy. I think my most annoying symptoms are from the reflux. Thanks to those of you who answered my questions. Hopefully I won't be back someday with vigorous achalasia. I'm eating some solid food again, and I'm looking forward to my vacation next week at Walt Disney World. The doctor told me that avoiding solid foods isn't helping me at all, so I plan on sampling the foods at the World Showcase. I think I'm going to concentrate on a GERD reduction diet. That seems most likely to help me. By the way, if you ever plan a trip to WDW, the people there are very helpful. I contacted my WDW hotel, and the dietary department for the parks, and they were all very helpful. I was prepared to go to WDW and stick with my liquid diet, if necessary. They told me where to find lactose-free drinks, they've arranged for a microwave for my room, they offered to puree foods for me, they bought cans of meal-replacement drinks for me because the hotel store didn't stock them, etc. dawn in Colorado Springs
