's surgery went well but was long, approximately 8 hours.

They ran into a lot of scar tissue which complicated the surgery.

They had to remove more of the esophagus than they first

thought, as a matter of fact he said they were not able to

leave any of it.

She is doing well though, sitting up this morning and talking.

They expect to put her in a room maybe later today. So it sounds

like she is doing exceptional well after a difficult surgery.

Will report more as I hear.

That is wonderful news about ! I am so glad to hear she is

doing well. If you speak to her or the family please let them know

that we are thinking of her and wishing her a very gentle and quick

recovery.

Thats fantastic news Maggie she certainly is doing extremly well

after an 8 hour surgery.

Hope she continues to do well, an 8 hour operation is quite some

operation – hard to grasp that someone can be under for so long – it’s

quite amazing really.
