'Ectomy Scheduled for February 7

Hello,

Dr. Rice's scheduler called me today and my 'ectomy is scheduled for

February 7 with pre-op testing on February 5. I have had surgery many

times, but this is the most major surgery I've ever had and I'm a

little nervous. Can those of you who have had this tell me what it

will be like. I know a lot of pain is in store, but hopefully they

will be able to monitor that with meds. I am also a very 'hard stick'

when it comes to needles; my veins like to hid and roll. Will they put

in a Central Line and will that be after I am asleep. I have so many

questions I don't know really where to begin.
